Packet8's Broadband Phone Service Adapter (BPG 510) connects a regular home telephone to the Packet8 network through any high speed Internet connection (DSL, cable, etc).
The adapter is equipped with two Ethernet ports (LAN and WAN), one RJ-11 phone port for connecting a standard analog telephone, and a built-in router to prioritize voice packets and manage available bandwidth. (The device can also function behind an existing router.) The LAN Ethernet port can be used for connecting your PC or other networked device without adding an extra Ethernet switch hub. (See diagram above.)
The Packet8 adapter integrates seamlessly into any home network.
